Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is an ice cream shop in Houston, Texas. It is listed at 888 Westheimer Rd Suite 157, Houston, TX 77006, which places it among the local businesses of Houston that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as dessert shop, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–12 am. Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Houston follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Oh my god was I glad I ran into this amazing ice cream place! Wow! Just wow! Thise flavors that bursted in my mouth were soooo mind-blowing! Let start with how amazing the service was. I was greeted and was given the mini tour of options I had to choose from. And they even offered to let me try as many options as I wanted to help me decide on my flavor. But definately was pleasantly surprised by their selection. I will also most definitely will be coming back for seconds and thirds and more lol πŸ˜†

Three friends. A laid back dinner in downtown Houston. One dangerous decision to β€œjust grab a little ice cream” afterward. What followed was a full blown sugar-fueled spiritual experience. This place somehow manages to feel both quaint and ridiculously upscale at the same time β€” like if a cozy European dessert shop moved into a luxury downtown storefront and developed a personality. The atmosphere is immaculate. Chic without trying too hard. Warm lighting, stylish details, and enough charm to make you suddenly consider becoming the kind of person who regularly discusses β€œmouthfeel.” And the ice cream? Unnecessarily excellent. The flavor combinations are creative in the most offensive way possible because now regular ice cream elsewhere feels deeply inadequate. Every creation looked like it belonged in a magazine spread. Fresh toppings piled high, textures on textures, house-made sauces, ridiculous attention to detail β€” the kind of desserts that make the whole table go silent for a few seconds after the first bite. Also appreciate that the toppings selection wasn’t just the standard sad little lineup of sprinkles and crushed Oreos. We’re talking elevated choices. Curated. Intent

Van Leeuwen at Montrose Collective has a clean, minimal vibe and is a nice stop for dessert. I tried the strawberry matcha flavorβ€”it was interesting, but the combination didn’t fully work for me. The texture was smooth and creamy, though. Service was quick, and it’s still a good spot to grab something and walk around the area after dinner.

The location is aesthetically pleasing, walkable and surrounded by shopping, other eateries and outdoor seating. I was impressed and pleasantly surprised by all the vegan options of ice cream and toppings. They even have a vegan cone. I tried several flavors: strawberry matcha, strawberry shortcake, chocolate brownie and cookies and cream. All were delish and the scoop sizes were plentiful! The young lady assisting me was both kind and helpful. Parking is scarce but they validate parking for the parking garage.

Who doesn’t love a trip to the ice cream shop? I stumbled upon this place as it was in the area while on a Sunday shopping escapade, and so happy I did! The place is small, but immediately gives a feel of childlike happiness with its bright colors. It’s sure to bring a smile! πŸ˜ƒ What I like most about this ice cream parlor was its array of flavors that ventures off the beaten path.. it’s not your typical chocolate strawberry vanilla. (although they do offer those flavors) They offer brownies or cheesecakes that makes their ice cream unique. I ordered the pumpkin cheesecake and it was scrumptious! They also have many different kinds of cones to provide that help make your selection unique. I should also note that the gentleman behind the counter was extremely kind and courteous, as he was more than happy to allow me to taste test a few flavors before making my decision. I definitely suggest you stop by. I’m positive it’ll brighten your day! 🍨
